2025 Ford Mustang GTD Performance
The all-new 2025 Ford Mustang GTD exudes street-legal, track-ready supercar power. The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is designed and engineered by Ford Performance and Multimatic, and it is built with a Supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that is set to make a remarkable 800 horsepower and redline at 7,500 rpm for exhilarating performance never experienced before in a track-ready Ford supercar.
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD’s transaxle contains a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle, while a transaxle cooler mounted onto the trunk lid chills the gearbox. The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD has a near 50/50 front-rear weight distribution that results in extremely responsive handling and performance. Multimatic’s adaptive spool-valve dampers pair with a new unique short-long arm front suspension that delivers enhanced stiffness and improved kinematics, especially in high-G cornering, while the rear end gets a pushrod-style multilink setup that works with inboard-mounted ASV dampers and coil springs.

2025 Ford Mustang GTD Design
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD features a four-inch wider track with aggressive fender sculpting as well as active aerodynamics with pressure-reducing vents in the front fenders and hood, and Ford will offer a carbon-fiber underbody that comes with hydraulically actuated, active front flaps. GTD gets an available C-pillar-mounted active aero rear wing that will come with a hydraulically controlled active drag-reduction system to increase downforce when needed. With the push of a button, the GTD’s body drops approximately 1.6 inches to make the most of its aerodynamic package.
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD’s interior is filled with premium materials, including racing-style RECARO front seats and Miko suede paired with leather and carbon fiber, and the options menu includes 3D-printed titanium paddle shifters, rotary dial shifter and serial plate, all made from the titanium parts of a Lockheed Martin F-22. GTD is fitted with 345/30ZR-20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R rear tires and 325/30ZR-20 tires up front, which are among the widest tires fitted to the front end of a production car, as well as standard forged aluminum wheels with the option to choose lighter forged magnesium wheels that help reduce unsprung weight. Massive Brembo™ carbon-ceramic brake rotors sit behind the wheels, and dedicated cooling ducts help keep the front rotors from overheating.
